Genco Participates in the ‘Mangrove Reforestation Project for Biodiversity Assessment of Mangrove Forests’

Genco participated in the ‘Mangrove Reforestation Project for Biodiversity Assessment of Mangrove Forests’ under the concept of industrial development towards carbon neutrality, Let’s Zero Together: Planting for a Sustainable Future. The event was organized by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiris Amrapan, the president of IEAT, delivering the opening speech at the Bangpu Nature Education Center on August 11th, 2023.

In this mangrove reforestation activity, 10,000 trees of the Kandelia candel and Avicennia alba species were planted to support IEAT’s genuine commitment towards achieving Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emission. This effort also serves as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, on the occasion of her 91st Birthday Anniversary.
